Are there any fees for payment?

On snowompany.at you have various payment options. There are NO fees for you when paying. The Snowcompany bears all fees when paying by Paypal or credit card.

Is the booking on snowcompany.at secure?

We work with the latest security standards on our website (SSL encryption on all booking pages!) We also guarantee that we will treat your data as strictly confidential. We use suitable technical and organisational means to protect the data you transmit to us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties and will only be used for the internal purposes of your booking.

Can I extend/shorten the hire period on site?

Of course, you can also extend the booked items by additional days on site. The difference will then be charged to you and must be paid on site. If you would like to shorten the rental period, please inform us in good time. Our cancellation conditions apply if the rental period is shortened.

Can I collect my equipment before the first day of hire?

Yes - when you make your booking, you can choose whether you would like to collect your equipment from 3.30 pm on the day before the start of your hire in WINTER or from 5.00 pm in SUMMER.

Can I pick up/drop off my rental items at another Snowcompany branch?

You should always collect your equipment from your booked Snowcompany partner, who will receive your booking and provide the equipment for you. If you wish to hand in your equipment at another Snowcompany partner, this is of course possible at any time. Please inform the Snowcompany partner with whom you have booked your equipment in advance and in good time.

Why can't I book every item at every Snowcompany location?

Unsere Betriebe verfügen alle über ein breites Sortiment. Spezielle Artikel (Tourenski, LVS Gerät, Snowbikes, E-Bikes, Buggies etc. ) erhalten Sie immer bei dem Snowcompany Partner, der sich auf diesen Bereich spezialisiert hat.

What do I need for collection on site?

If possible, please bring your booking confirmation, which you will receive by e-mail after completing your booking, and a valid identity card or passport with you when you collect the equipment on site. Without a valid official document with a photo, it is not possible to borrow the equipment.

What PAYMENT TYPES are available?

You can pay by PAPYPAL or by CREDIT CARD (Mastercard/Visa) and the payment is FREE OF CHARGE for you.

How high are the SHIPPING COSTS for ski passes or other sales items?

The shipping costs may vary depending on the item, but will be displayed directly with the item. Optionally, you can also pick up the items on site (then of course there are no costs). If you buy MULTIPLE ARTICLES, you will only be charged shipping costs ONCE (these can be seen BEFORE completing the order in the shopping cart).

Is it possible to return rental equipment outside of opening hours?

The return of rental equipment is also possible by arrangement outside our opening hours (e.g. when we are closed on Saturday afternoon or Sunday). Please contact us in this regard. We always endeavour to find the best solution for you and make (almost) everything possible.

Can I have my hire skis delivered to the hotel?

Delivery of your equipment to your accommodation/hotel is of course possible for an extra charge (approx. 2-5 euros per piece of equipment), but you should come to the shop you have booked to have your equipment fitted correctly.

Do I have to specify the "desired ski length"?

No - if you are not sure which length of ski/snowboard you would like to hire, our staff will select a suitable ski/snowboard for you by specifying your height and skiing ability and provide you with one on site.

When are the Snowcompany shops open?

The Snowcompany shops are open daily during the winter season (including Sundays and public holidays). You can find the respective opening hours on the websites of the Snowcompany partners or HERE.

Why can't I get the same equipment as last year?

As we are constantly renewing and replacing our rental items, it is not always possible to get the same equipment as last year. We will of course endeavour to provide you with a product of the same or higher quality. If you have a special request (model, length, etc.), please let us know in the "Message" field when you complete your order. We will do our best to inform you whether this is possible.

Why do I have to pay for my equipment when booking on snowcompany.at?

Payment is due immediately upon completion of your booking by instant bank transfer, PayPal or credit card so that we can provide your equipment FIX on the desired date. Your payment therefore also serves as a guarantee that you will receive your equipment. By paying immediately upon booking, you naturally also enjoy the benefit of the online discount. Booking is possible online up to 2 days before the start of the rental period.
Depending on the season, you will receive a corresponding discount of up to 10%. Further discounts are available for newsletter registration & for promotions that we communicate via newsletter, social media etc.

Why do I have to accept the general terms and conditions and the cancellation conditions?

As with any order on the Internet, you must accept our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) and also the cancellation conditions. By accepting them, a legally binding rental contract is created between you and the Snowcompany partner with whom you have booked your equipment. These conditions contain the necessary framework conditions that are essential for the rental of sports equipment and your booking and serve both your and our safety.

Why do I still have to have the equipment adjusted on site even though I booked online?

Our staff always try to provide you with the right equipment to the best of their knowledge. However, you must always try on a ski/snowboard or mountain boot, as we do not know your foot shape when you book and not every boot fits every foot. We also want to make sure that we have provided the right equipment for you. If something does not fit (boot size, ski length, etc.), we still have the option of exchanging something on site.

Why do I have to pay a nominal fee for skis/snowboards?

As our rental items are not insured by any insurer, a € 1 protection fee against breakage and damage per day is added to the regular rental rate when renting skis/snowboards/LL skis. This covers all repairable damage. All non-repairable damage is subject to a deductible of 20% of the current value. If we did NOT charge this protection fee, all damage would have to be borne 100% by the customer. From experience, we can say that even under the best conditions, damage to rental equipment cannot be avoided. We recommend taking out DSV Rent insurance for 1 year (€ 30). In the sports shop where DSV RENT was taken out, any number of rentals are included in the premium year.
The online discount applies exclusively to the rental price.

Why should I book my skis online at snowcompany.at?

By booking with snowcompany.at you have several advantages. On the one hand you don't have to pay any additional costs on site for your rental equipment and on the other hand you save money & time when renting, as we grant you attractive online discounts & have already entered your personal data and only have to adjust your skis/snowboard etc. to the appropriate boots. Bookings via various third-party providers are usually associated with additional costs on site. Only when booking on snowcompany.at you have the guarantee that your desired equipment will be provided for you.

What is the TAUSCHPAUSCHALE?

We always try to make it possible to swap our winter items, but please note that costs may be incurred:

The exchange of items in the same category - e.g. if you need a different ski item within the exclusive ski category - is included in the normal booking. Also included is the exchange between items in different categories, but which belong to the same sport (e.g. skiing), e.g. from premium skis to exclusive skis. Here you only have to pay the category surcharge. Conversely, you will of course also receive money back if you downgrade.

If you book an exchange package, you can switch freely between snowboard and ski equipment and vice versa during your hire period without the graduated prices starting again on the first day. If applicable, there is only a price increase if you upgrade the category (e.g. from Allmountain to Premium).

Skis or snowboards cannot be exchanged for cross-country equipment, so cross-country equipment and snowshoes are not included in the exchange package and must be paid for separately.

What does the DSV RENT insurance include for € 30.00 (incl. ski theft)?

Diese Versicherung kann nur direkt bei Buchung abgeschlossen werden und enthält folgende Leistungen. Der Versicherungsschutz besteht für Diebstahl, Bruch und Beschädigung der Ski/Snowboard/Schuhe, Skistöcke, Helme, Felle bei Benutzung durch die versicherte Person. Versicherungsschutz bei Skidiebstahl besteht auch vor der Skihütte von 6 bis 22 Uhr ; zwischen 22 Uhr und 6 Uhr nur bei der Aufbewahrung in einem ortsfesten Raum oder in einem verschlossenen PKW. Erstattet wird bis zur Höhe des Kaufpreises (Ski oder Snowboard mit Bindung max. 2500,- €, Ski-/Snowboardschuhe max. 250,- €, Skistöcke, -helme, -felle - jeweils max. 250,- €) OHNE Selbstbeteiligung! Der Versicherungsschutz beginnt bei Vermietung für 1 Jahr und endet automatisch & muss nicht gekündigt werden. What services are included in the protection fee against breakage and damage for €1.00/day?

This protection fee is obligatory (mandatory) for all skis/snowboards or cross-country skis (waived once if DSV RENT insurance is chosen!) If the rental item shows non-repairable damage on return, a deductible of 20% of the current value will be charged and is due immediately (e.g. broken edge, edge bent by hitting a stone or similar, base totally damaged down to the carrier laminate, sidewall broken, ski bent or broken, pole broken, etc.). Repairable damage is covered by this protection fee without deductible (scratches in the base/surface, scratched edges, etc.).

What boot size should I specify for ski/snowboard/cross-country skiing boots?

Please always state your normal shoe size when making your booking. We know how the different models from our manufacturers turn out & our staff will provide you with a suitable shoe in your size. If the reserved shoe does not fit, we are sure to have another model - whether larger or smaller/slim or wider - in your size in stock. We always endeavour to provide you with well-maintained equipment.

Which ski length is right for me?

ADULTS - Beginner / weaker skier (low speed) - approx. 20 cm below body height - Advanced / intermediate skier (medium speed, parallel turns) - chin to eye level - Expert / athletic skier (usually higher speed) - approx. eye level - Professional / highly athletic skier (high speed) - approx. eye level to body height Eye height to body height KIDS - beginner - armpit height to shoulder - advanced - neck to mouth area - expert - eye height to body height - pro - eye height to body height In our length & size recommendation to the right of your product selection, you will find the description for the correct ski length. If you are not sure which length is right for you, our staff will be happy to help you on site. We always have skis in different lengths available. If you are not happy with your length after the first day of skiing, you can of course exchange your skis at any time.

What other services do the Snowcompany businesses offer me (ski service, sales, etc.)?

All Snowcompany businesses offer many other services. We provide ski and bike servicing (Sport Kessler) and also sell the appropriate accessories for winter and summer sports (goggles, hats, sun cream, ....). Each business (Kessler, Pauli, Hilbrand) also has a very good selection of high-quality clothing for winter and summer sports. At Sport Hilbrand you also have the opportunity to have customised ski boots from Strolz and Fischer Vacuum Fit.

What driving ability should I specify?

You should specify your skiing ability when booking so that our staff on site can provide you with a suitable ski (depending on the category you have booked) - weaker/careful skiers & absolute beginners choose the BEGINNER level - skiers who can already ski & have mastered a parallel turn (medium speed) choose the ADVANCED level - sporty skiers who usually prefer a higher speed and are very confident on the skis choose the EXPERT level - highly sporty skiers who prefer a high speed and have perfect control of their sports equipment choose the PROFESSIONAL level

Who is behind snowcompany.at?

The Snowcompany has developed from the co-operation of 3 sports shops in Kleinwalsertal(Kessler Sport-Riezlern, Sport Pauli-Hirschegg, Sport Hilbrand-Mittelberg). We all work with the same high quality standards in order to be able to offer a perfect service for all our customers throughout Kleinwalsertal. Our sports shops are all very centrally located in the villages and close to the mountain railways (OK Bergbahnen - Walmendingerhornbahn & Kanzelwandbahn, Heubergarena & Ifen-Auenhütte).

Where can I find the RENTAL PRICES? What is the ONLINER DISCOUNT?

You can also calculate your individual rental rate without booking in advance depending on the category on the respective booking page, where the applicable ONLINER DISCOUNT is also taken into account.

Depending on the season, there are various discounts (up to 10%). Further discounts are available for newsletter registration & for promotions that you can find out about via our newsletter, social media, etc.

Online booking (with discount) is possible up to 2 days before the start of the rental period.
