A. General

For the sake of clarity, our privacy policy does not differentiate between the genders. In the interests of equal treatment, the relevant terms apply to both genders.

The meaning of the terms used, such as "personal data" or their "processing", can be found in Article 4 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The personal data of users processed in the context of this online offering includes inventory data (e.g. names and addresses of customers), contract data (e.g. services used, names of clerks, payment information), usage data (e.g. websites visited on our online offering, interest in our products) and content data (e.g. entries in the contact form).

"Users" includes all categories of data subjects affected by data processing, such as our business partners, customers, interested parties and other visitors to our online offering.

B. Specific

Privacy policy
We guarantee that we only collect, process, store and use your data in connection with the processing of your enquiries and for internal purposes as well as to provide the services you have requested or to provide content.

Principles of data processing

We only process users' personal data in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations. Users' data is only processed if the following legal permissions apply:

  • to provide our contractual services (e.g. processing orders) and online services
  • the processing is required by law
  • if you have given your consent
  • on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. optimisation and economic operation and security of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR, in particular when collecting access data)

We would like to show you where the above legal bases are regulated in the GDPR:

Consent Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a. and Art. 7 GDPR
Processing for the fulfilment of our services and implementation of contractual measures Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. GDPR
Processing for the fulfilment of our legal obligations Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c. GDPR
Processing for the protection of our legitimate interests Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR

Data transfer to third parties

Data is only passed on to third parties within the framework of legal requirements. We only pass on user data to third parties if this is necessary, for example, for contractual purposes or on the basis of legitimate interests in the economic and effective operation of our business.

If we use subcontractors to provide our services, we take suitable legal precautions and appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the protection of personal data in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions.

We would like to point out that due to the use of Google Analytics, data is transferred when using our online offer.

Data transfer to a third country or an international organisation

A third country is defined as a country in which the GDPR is not directly applicable law. This basically includes all countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

Data is transferred to a third country or an international organisation, taking into account that appropriate/adequate safeguards are in place and that you have enforceable rights and effective legal remedies.

A copy of the appropriate safeguards can be found at the following links

Storage period of your personal data

We adhere to the principles of data minimisation and data avoidance. This means that we only store the data you provide to us for as long as is necessary to fulfil the aforementioned purposes or as stipulated by the various storage periods provided for by law. If the respective purpose no longer applies or after the corresponding periods have expired, your data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

We have created an internal company concept to ensure this procedure.

Making contact

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone, fax, contact form, etc., you agree to electronic communication. Personal data is collected when you contact us. The data collected in the case of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. Your data is transmitted SSL-encrypted. The information you provide is stored exclusively for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for possible follow-up questions.
We would like to provide you with the legal basis for this:

Processing for the fulfilment of our services and implementation of contractual measures Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b. GDPR

We use software to maintain customer data (CRM system) or comparable software on the basis of our legitimate interests (efficient and fast processing of user enquiries).

For this purpose, we have concluded an order processing contract with the provider, in which the provider undertakes to process user data only in accordance with our instructions and to comply with the EU data protection level.

We would like to point out that e-mails can be read or changed without authorisation or detection during transmission. We would also like to point out that we use software to filter unwanted e-mails (spam filter). The spam filter can reject e-mails if they are incorrectly identified as spam due to certain characteristics.

What rights do you have?

d. Right to erasure

You can also request the erasure of your personal data, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data on request. You are entitled to request that we provide you with the personal data transmitted to us in a format that allows it to be transmitted to another organisation.

g. Right to object

You have the option to revoke the use of your data for internal purposes at any time with effect for the future by sending an email to datenschutz@snowcompany.at. However, such a revocation does not affect the legality of the processing operations carried out by us up to that point. This does not affect data processing with regard to all other legal bases, such as the initiation of a contract (see above).

Protection of your personal data

We take contractual, organisational and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art to ensure that the provisions of the data protection laws are complied with and to protect the data processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.

The security measures include, in particular, the encrypted transmission of data between your browser and our server using 256-bit SSL (AES 256) encryption technology.

The security measures in use are continuously improved in line with technological developments. Despite these precautions, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmission to our online offering due to the insecure nature of the Internet. As a result, any data transmission from you to our online offering is at your own risk.

Control of cookies by the user

You can set all browsers so that cookies are only accepted on request. You can also set them to only accept cookies for pages that are currently being visited. All browsers offer functions that enable the selective deletion of cookies. The acceptance of cookies can also be switched off in general, but then you may have to accept restrictions in the user-friendliness of this online offer.

Web analysis service Google Analytics / Universal Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of the use of the online offer. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this online offer is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. There is therefore a data transfer to a third country. It is taken into account that appropriate/adequate guarantees are in place and that enforceable rights and effective legal remedies are available to you.

http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2010:039:0005:0018:DE:PDF

However, if IP anonymisation is activated in our online offering, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse the use of the online offer, to compile reports on the activities of the online offer and to provide us with further services associated with the use of the online offer and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by making the appropriate setting in your browser software. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this online offer to their full extent.

Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" and therefore IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form in order to exclude the possibility of direct personal references.

The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 14 months. We use the Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. No cookies are set and no personal data is collected. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, insofar as these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager. More information about the Google Tag Manager can be found at the following link: http://www.google.de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

Google AdWords - Conversion tracking

We use the online advertising programme "Google AdWords" and conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when you click on an advert placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit pages of this online offer and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that you have clicked on the advert and have been redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords user receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords users.

The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords users who have opted for conversion tracking. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that can be used to identify you personally. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via the Internet browser under user settings. You will not subsequently be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
